China's Lucky Air now flies direct from Guiyang (capital of Guizhou Province, SW China) to Singapore.

Singapore Changi Airport Group welcomed the arrival of Lucky Air's first international flight.

Yunan Lucky Air (8L), a subsidiary of HNA Group (Hainan Airlines), successfully opened its first international flight on Kunming-Guiyang-Singapore route, with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft landing smoothly at Singapore Changi International Airport (SIN) at 3:10 p.m. on Jan. 25,

Changi Airport Group held a warm and unique ceremony for the inaugural flight with a special lion dance. Representatives from Lucky Air and Changi Airport Group made speeches successively and exchanged memorial gifts for the inaugural flight.

The Kunming Guiyang-Singapore flight will be operated twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The outbound flight 8L9895 is scheduled to take off from Kunming Changshui International Airport (KMG) at 8:40 a.m. and arrive in Singapore at 3:20 p.m., with a stopover at Guiyang from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.; while the return flight 8L9896 will depart from Singapore at 4:50 p.m. and land in Kunming at 11:30 p.m., with a stopover at Guiyang from 8:55 p.m. to 10:25 p.m.

"The opening of Kunming-Guiyang-Singapore flight plays as a bridge for economic development and cultural communication, enhancing cooperation and exchanges between China and Singapore," said by Huang Wenliang, senior adviser of Changi Airport Group.

"This is our first international route, marking an important step of internationalization for Lucky Air. Hereafter, Lucky Air will take this opportunity to exert superiorities and advantages of HNA Group's strong network and focus on Southeast Asia to launch more regional and international routes to Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and more destinations in South Asia and West Asia, building up an international route network of Yunnan Province and making contribution to the economic development of the region", said Ding Yongzheng, CEO of Lucky Air.
